PWA
Polish Audiovisual Publishers was established by the Minister of Culture in August 2005.
The key goal of the institution is professional recording of the country’s most vital cultural events in the area of high art, mainly musical, theatrical and operatic, but also visual and literary, as well as their promotion in public and private media, both Polish and international. Another area of its operation is production of radio and television programmes related to culture, science and education in Poland.
PWA also initiates and co-organizes own events in these areas.
Recordings made by the publisher contribute to establishment of the video library of contemporary Polish culture. Selected events and projects are recorded in HDTV technology. PWA owns copyrights to distribute the recorded materials.
The Publishing House’s plans also involve establishment of Internet audiovisual library, as well as publication of DVD and CD recordings of theatrical performances and music.
Polish Audiovisual Publishers is an institution of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
